Into the bush

Tomorrow I will be leaving Vancouver - off to the woods.

I feel ready. I have a new notebook and a new raincoat. And when all is said and done, I pretty much need those things.

Though it is pissing rain today (as per usual) I am going to miss this city --- even if it'll be temporary.

I feel blessed to have experienced what I have and met many beautiful people. I've managed to get a good dose of ocean and mountains. I've figured out a plan, an exciting what at that. It is comforting to leave a place no longer a stranger. No longer disconnected, and no longer unknown.

I feel pretty good right about now, and am excited for another mini adventure.

Today is a good day. Breakfast sausage, poached eggs and avocado for breakfast. It's my last day at the butcher shop. I'll be tree planting soon. Life is good. I feel excellent.

Whistler

Yesterday I was able to ski down a mountain. I woke up at a friends house and by 6:30 a.m we were full of oatmeal and a bit of coffee, and headed to Whistler. We drove the sea to sky highway, watching the sun rise over the mountains. We arrived in Whistler and the sky was bright blue.

Skiing was incredible. It was the first time I've skied in my life and it was unbelievable. I fell an absurd amount of times, but did so because I was going so fast. It honestly was so exhilarating. Skiing down Blackcomb for an hour and a half is one of the most fun things I have done since moving to this province.

Here are a few pictures from the day!
